On October 17, 2009, John Malveaux organized a performance of LIFT EVERY VOICE by soprano Amber Mercomes at the Long Beach, California NAACP Centennial Banquet. On October 18, 2009, John produced a multicultural celebration that included Cambodian folk music, Mariachi Azteca, Peruvian and Bangladesh dancers, and Amber Mercomes performance of opera arias and the Negro spiritual HOLD ON. Composer, visual artist and pianist Evangeline Seward accompanied Amber and exhibited two opera masks from her OPERA MASKS Series.
