A co-presentation with the Washington Performing Arts Society, this special concert also marks the debut of Ms. DiDonato in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. She will be accompanied by pianist David Zobel. Founded in 1990 by Dr. Gerald Perman, Vocal Arts DC has been instrumental in the careers of several African-American singers (and of African descent). This singers include: Roberta Alexander, Harolyn Blackwell, Janet Williams, Florence Quivar, Measha Bruggergosman, Lawrence Brownlee, Darius de Haas, Vinson Cole, Dana Blanchard and Stephen Salters.
