Operaticus.com: 'Ms. Headlam was the most communicative performer of the four sopranos'

[Sonya Headlam]

Soprano Sonya Headlam sang the song Tryst of Sibelius with One World Symphony in the concert “Nordic Lights” March 4 & 6. Operaticus.com said in its review: “Ms. Headlam was the most communicative performer of the four sopranos, and seemingly the most at ease with the challenge of singing in Swedish.” Adrienne Metzinger of One World Symphony tells AfriClassical of two reviews of Nordic Lights:

Dear Bill,
How are you? I'd like to share some exciting news about One World Symphony. Composer-Conductor Sung Jin Hong recently conducted two concerts called Nordic Lights in New York City, and they were both reviewed by two different press:

March 6

March 4

Stormy Sunday brought a constant downpour, but the show was sold-out and we had to add more seats. I was very thankful.

Both reviews commented on Sung Jin Hong's conducting and orchestrating/arranging. performance. The reviewer on Sunday experienced what Maestro Hong requests from his fellow artists: conviction, elegance, lushness, heart, and making inspiring music together. They are the intangible qualities of great art that Sung Jin aspires to communicate. This is what our audiences have come to expect when they experience a One World Symphony performance.

Maestro Sung Jin Hong's upcoming projects include conducting Wagner's Tristan und Isolde with One World Symphony in New York City and fulfilling composition commissions of a piano concerto and chamber music. Thank you for your time and your continuous support!
Best wishes!
