Marlon Daniel was 'Fabulous!' at opening concert of International Saint-Georges Festival April 30

[Marlon Daniel conducts opening concert of the International Saint-Georges Festival in Guadeloupe, Saturday, April 30, 2011]

Daniel Marciano has graciously provided us with press clippings and printed programs from the International Saint-Georges Festival held in Guadeloupe from 28 April to 1 May, 2011. The clippings include the above photo of Marlon Daniel conducting outdoors in the inaugural concert of the Festival on April 30, 2011. The caption can be roughly translated as “Fabulous! Before more than 300 people, Marlon Daniel, one of the youngest orchestra conductors of the world, was exceptional and fabulous in his artistic sense.” Maestro Daniel was conducting the Orchestre du Festival International Saint-Georges. Soloists were Magali Leger, soprano, and Koh Gabriel Kameda, violin. [The life, fencing and music of Le Chevalier de Saint-Georges (1745-1799) are presented at AfriClassical.com]
